We did it and we’re pretty dang excited. In speaking up about this month’s 10-year anniversary of Speak! Agency, we’re also announcing the formation of SpeakBuzz. Yes. Happy birthday Speak! and welcome-to-the-world SpeakBuzz.

SpeakBuzz is a new division focused exclusively on creative services for consumer lifestyle brands.

Over time, Speak! Agency expertise in creative strategy, messaging, design, and integrated marketing has attracted the attention of consumer-facing brands such as Klamath Basin Brewing, Columbia Sportswear, Clark’s Bistro & Bar, and Silver Chef. And then came local cannabusinesses Oregon Private Reserve and Grön Chocolate. Bolstered by the success of our efforts for these B2C brands, we decided it was time to fire up the SpeakBuzz studio for real.

Are we ecstatic? Yes. Very.

Speak! Agency continues, as-is, in its same client-centric focus that’s helped build brands for technology giants such as Sage, Dell, SDL, and Tektronix. Just like in 2007, we’re still operating out of our 100-year-old Main Street Hillsboro plant. The only difference between then and now is having offices in downtown Portland and St. Paul, Minn.

No matter what, we’ll forever be the tight-knit group of creatives and technologists with a serious interest in high-growth companies—particularly those with a disruptive or small-batch take on what they market. Take Portland-based Grön, for instance: The award-winning maker of cannabinoid-infused chocolates came to us to refine its brand identity and voice to ultimately launch gronchocolate.com and deliver a tactile-rich media kit, a series of dispensary countertop cards, and a variety of brand merchandising tie-ins. Our experience with Grön is a great reminder of how much we enjoy the energy of working with growth-phased companies. So grateful and privileged, we are.
